Bio:

Patricia Peixoto is an artist and designer based in Vienna. Her transdisciplinary practice navigates the intersections of contemporary art, cultural narratives, and decolonial approaches, encompassing painting, collage, and research-based projects.
Having lived in Rio de Janeiro (BR), Porto (PT), São Paulo (BR), Brasília (BR), and Beijing (CN), Peixoto brings a multicultural and nomadic perspective to her artistic practice. Now based in Vienna, her work continues to engage with feminist, postcolonial, and ecological emergency processes in contemporary art.
She holds a Master’s in Arts and Design from the University of Brasília (UnB), where she was a CAPES Merit Scholar. With a background in fashion and textile design, Peixoto has worked extensively in creative direction, pattern design, and artistic collaborations. She was the founder of Paira, a brand that merged artistic exploration with design, and has contributed to academic publications discussing design, craft, and relational practices.
Peixoto’s work has been recognized with awards such as the Young Creators Award in Portugal (2012).
