Photographic collage on rice paper

This work consists of 954 squares, exactly matching the number of days I lived in China. Created from cutouts of photographs I took of the sky in Beijing, not all of them are blue, despite being captured on supposedly cloudless days. The piece highlights the variation in air quality while also emphasizing the passage of time through its organization in the form of a continuous calendar. Additionally, the verticality of the composition references traditional Chinese landscapes.
